Omega bad batch3/27/2023 ![]() ![]() These are the only two (known) clones to possess the raw genetic material of Jango Fett, and thus they are the only avenues for the Kaminoans to acquire this. We now know that the clones (plural) that are required are Boba Fett and Omega. The clones required will not return willingly.” Nala Se: “Such a contingency cannot be created without a direct source. If your experiment can yield a superior clone, it will secure our relationship with this Empire.” Lama Su: Then it is time to begin the next phase. Nala Se: “The original genetic material from Jango fett continues to degrade.” ![]() L ama Su: “… We must ensure our clones remain essential.” The subject came up again earlier this season in The Bad Batch, as in the third episode, “Replacements,” we see a conversation between Lama Su and Nala Se: But with his death, that was no longer the case. That is why, after all, Jango Fett lived on Kamino, so that the cloners would have ready access to more genetic material whenever needed. So it was already well-established that the genetic material was being stretched thin. Ever since the unfortunate death of Jango Fett, we have had to stretch his DNA to produce more clones.” “I understand your concerns, Master Jedi. In the first episode of season three of The Clone Wars, “Clone Cadets,” Lama Su tells Shaak Ti, And it all ties in with what we already knew about the Kaminoan cloning project. I love the touch with Boba being referred to as Alpha, and now Omega. She’s the last of Fett’s raw genetic material. ![]() While this is a huge reveal in the show, it’s similar to what we already were thinking, given her name was Omega. Since he disappeared at the start of the War, that makes Omega the sole living source of Fett’s raw genetic material.” A male clone, codenamed Alpha, later referred to as Boba. Tech: “To my knowledge, there’s only one other. Hunter: “How many clones like that exist?” While our genetic structure was modified for growth acceleration and obedience, Omega is a pure genetic replication.” Tech: “All clones were created from a host named Jango Fett. Tech: “I further analyzed Omega’s genetic profile and discovered she has pure, first-generation DNA.” Tech: “Because she’s more valuable than we realized.” Wrecker: “First the bounty hunter on Pantora, now this guy? Why are they after the kid?” After learning that it was a bounty hunter named Cad Bane who took her, a conversation takes place aboard their ship: In the most recent episode of the show, “Bounty Lost,” Tech informs the rest of the squad why Omega is so valuable. That might still be the case, but we learned why the Kaminoans want her back so desperately. So it seems like it’s Omega, and since the other four have enhanced abilities, it seemed like Omega would too. It seems that Tarkin assumes Echo is the fifth, but he’s not. Four of them are Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair. It’s been hinted at throughout the season so far too, as we know that there are five genetically modified clones. Ever since we first heard about Omega, the newcomer to The Bad Batch who joins the squad and becomes one of them, we’ve been wondering what makes her special. ![]()
